A United Voice for the Rohingya People
The Arakan Rohingya Union is a global umbrella organization representing the Rohingya people, formed under the patronage of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Our Origin
The Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) was formed in accordance with the 38th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers Resolution No. 4/37 MM, under the patronage of the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
ARU serves as a united, coordinated council dedicated to advancing the rights of the Rohingya people in their ancestral homeland of Arakan, Myanmar. The organization is registered in the United States and works with international bodies to amplify the Rohingya voice on the world stage.
Mission
The mission of the ARU is to advocate for the recognition and protection of the rights and dignity of Rohingya refugees, their safe return to their original homeland with full legal rights. Through active engagement with the international community, the union aims to amplify the voices of the Rohingya community.
Vision
ARU envisions a future where the rights and dignity of Rohingya refugees are upheld, advocating for their safe and voluntary return to Arakan, Myanmar with legal protection and citizenship rights. ARU promotes social justice, equality, and coexistence with all ethnic groups.
